With the upgrade of iPhone software to iOS 5 Red Bull MOBILE is now able to provide data services to the iPhone.

Please note:

This is an interim solution, soon Red Bull MOBILE will be able to provide you with a full fix to give you Data as well as MMS capabilities on your iPhone.

Until we can provide micro SIM cards this solution will only be suitable for the iPhone 3GS

Important notice for iPhone users

  • Data will not be available to the iPhone 3G as it cannot support iOS 5 only the 3GS (To see if you have an iPhone 3GS go to SETTINGS> GENERAL> ABOUT if the model number starts with MC then it is a 3GS)
  • The Red Bull MOBILE Profile will only work for iPhones with IOS 5 (or higher) - please ensure you have IOS 5 on your iPhone before attempting to apply the Red Bull MOBILE Profile. For instructions on how to update your iPhone to iOS 5 click here.
  • The Profile only works on unlocked iPhones. Please ensure your phone is unlocked before attempting to apply the Red Bull MOBILE Profile
  • Please backup your iPhone before applying the Profile, while it is unlikely that the Profile will harm your iPhone, it is strongly advised to backup your iPhone prior to any changes. We are not responsible if you lose any of your existing data as a result of your installation of the Red Bull MOBILE Profile
  • MMS will currently not work on the iPhone with Red Bull MOBILE pre-paid. We are working to fix this issue
  • Voicemail cannot be accessed from the voicemail icon, please dial 121 to access your voicemail
  • Tethering your iPhone for data will not work with a Red Bull MOBILE SIM card
  • Some iPhone applications will not be compatible with Red Bull MOBILE we apologise for any inconvenience.

What is loaded onto your iPhone?

A Profile is created on your iPhone when you install the Red Bull MOBILE Profile.

The Profile changes the APN settings on your iPhone, so that Data will work with the Red Bull MOBILE Pre-Paid SIM. If you do not install the Red Bull MOBILE Profile, data will not work on your iPhone with the Red Bull MOBILE Pre-Paid SIM. Installing the Red Bull MOBILE Profile also creates a Red Bull MOBILE Portal icon on your iPhone.

The Portal is Your Ticket to the World of Red Bull, offering access to events, athletes, sports, culture, wallpapers, ringtones, the latest news, Red Bull TV, Videos and much more - all for free and without using any of your Data allowance Please note that there are certain parts of the Portal which are not available when you access the internet on your iPhone via a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Prepaid Set up Instructions:

Note: To set up data you will need to access this page on your iPhone either by WiFi or your previous providers SIM card. Then follow the following steps:

  1. When viewing this page on your iPhone click here to download the Red Bull MOBILE configuration file.
  2. Press Install

  3. Press Install Now

  4. Press Done

  5. Press the Home Button

  6. The Portal icon will appear (note that you can move the icon, but not delete it without removing the Profile meaning you will no longer be able to use data).

  7. Press on the Portal icon, which will open the Red Bull MOBILE Portal

  8. After first use, the Portal icon will now have the Red Bull MOBILE logo

You can now enjoy your iPhone charged by Red Bull MOBILE.

How to Remove the Red Bull MOBILE profile & Portal icon

To set up data you will need to access this page on your iPhone either by WiFi or your previous providers SIM card.

  • Please note that you will be unable to use Data on your iPhone with your Red Bull MOBILE Pre-Paid SIM if you remove the profile and portal icon
  • Follow the instructions on the following pages to remove the Red Bull MOBILE profile and Portal icon
  1. Open Settings

  2. Select General then scroll down and select to Profile

  3. Press Remove

  4. Press Remove

  5. The Profile will no longer appear & the Portal icon will also automatically be removed. You will not be able to use data on your iPhone with your Red Bull MOBILE Pre-Paid SIM unless you reinstall the Profile.

Post Paid Set up Instructions:

Note: To set up data you will need to access this page on your iPhone either by WiFi or your previous providers SIM card. Then follow the following steps:

  1. Open safari and go to m.redbullmobile.com.au

  2. Select ‘Add to Home Screen’

  3. Enter title “Red Bull MOBILE PORTAL” so you can easily access the portal from your iphone device

  4. A Red Bull MOBILE Portal App is now available on your home screen giving you access to the World of Red Bull with the touch of a button.
